The outcome of this election is not guaranteed and in addition the possibility of another Trump presidency we are mere votes from electing in vocal extremists who put their bizarre personal beliefs over bettering NC and its people.

In a few short weeks we will have the opportunity to elect candidates up and down the ballot that will have a tremendous impact on our daily lives. Candidates Mo Green and Josh Stein have committed to making improvements that will benefit all North Carolinians.

Mo Green is a candidate for the office of NC Superintendent of Public Instruction and has worked for many years in service to public school students and their families. He continuously strives to be a champion for public education, by advocating for fully-funded public schools, increased teacher pay and safe and nurturing learning environments.

Josh Stein has been vocal about his support of fully-funded public schools and the desire to see our schools be safe places where all students can thrive and receive a quality education. Issues such as affordable housing and access to affordable health care are also high on his list of priorities.

Both candidates understand the devastating impact that decades of underfunding have had on our schools. Both are endorsed by Public School Strong Voters and Down Home NC.
